This beautiful Southwestern copper bracelet dates to the middle of the 20th century and is plated in silver. It is thickly and finely decorated with Native American symbology. The phenomenal stampwork includes: zia sun symbol, four directions, water, lightning, rain, pueblo patterns, plant life, thunderbirds, bear paws, crossed arrows, and more. The central element is worked in raised repousse. This is a large, bold bracelet, but still a comfortable weight for wear, with edges that have been well finished for comfort. Inside it is marked SOLID COPPER in two places. The stamped mark is very small, so it can only be read with magnification. There is an additional maker’s symbol before the words, but it can not be read even with magnification. The silver-colored plating is intact inside and out.
Measures 1-3/4 inches wide and 5-1/2 inches long, with a 1 inch gap, for a total of 6-1/2 inches. Could be gently shaped to fit a larger wrist. Weighs 54 grams.
