This charming brooch dates to the 1980s. The bright gold-tone airplane is finely modeled, with open front windows in the cockpit and lifelike jet engines along the wings. The wing and tail are paved with brilliant white rhinestones and a row of rhinestones on each side of the fuselage represents the passenger windows. Created by the well-known jewelry designer Wendy Gell, this brooch is an unmarked example of a piece that was sold both signed and unsigned. This one is not signed. Safety clasp holds well.
