This charming 1940s money clip is in the shape of a dollar sign, with a collet-set domed crystal at its center covering a faded, pressed, dried 4 leaf clover. The clover has held its original shape, but has lost its color. The new owner could take it to a jeweler, if desired, and have some other object placed beneath the crystal. It is marked W.L. and STERLING. It was created by Walter Lampl during the Second World War, and likely was intended to hold gambling money.
Measures 1 × 1-3/4 inches. The domed crystal rises ¼ inch proud. Weighs 5 grams.
Excellent vintage condition, with normal patina that has been left undisturbed.
