This beautiful necklace and earrings set features pear-shaped glass faux pearls suspended in spiral-shaped cages. The thickly plated yellow gold is rich and luxe. The necklace also has a small open heart connecting the two halves of the chain for a sweetly sentimental look. The screw-back earrings are in beautiful condition, as is the necklace. The necklace has a “thumbless” spring ring clasp. This older style clasp, as well as the transitional style that shows elements of both 1940s Retro and 1950s delicacy, dates this set to the late 1940s. Included with the set is the box that they were found in, though this may not be the original box, as it says “STERLING SILVER” inside the lid, and these gold filled pieces are marked 1/20 12KT GF and with the Walter Lampl logo. There is no indication that the gold is over silver.
Necklace measures 15-1/2 inches long, with 1-3/4 inch pendant drop. Earrings measure 1-1/4 inches long.
