These wonderful natural shell earrings are said to protect the wearer. Made from the operculum of the tropical green turban snail (Turbo petholatus), they are also known as cat’s eyes. This pair of earrings dates to the 1950s and have a strong Modernist aesthetic. Clip backs hold well. Although unmarked the setting tests as sterling silver.
