This outstanding bracelet was created in the 1990s by the artist Barry Burger during his collaboration with the Metal Arts Group. Cast in deep relief with black patination of the recessed areas, it shows a family group of moose - a cow, 2 calves, and a bull in a forest. The bull leading the family group is head to head with a second bull, with a broken tree between them. Bordering on all sides the scene of family and confrontation is a silver band with small recessed canoes, crossed oars, deer or moose tracks, snowshoe tracks, and trees. This is a massive, wide, heavy piece. It is marked B. Burger in script, MAG STERLING. Although it has a very large visual impact, it is sized for a small wrist.
Measures 1-3/8 inches wide. Inside length is 5-1/2 inches, with a 1-1/8 inch gap. Weighs 3 ounces.
Excellent vintage condition, with light patina consistent with age.
