The pendant shows a long-necked flamingo in silhouette beneath palm trees, against a moonlit twilight sky. The matching screw-back earrings also depict palm trees. The palms and flamingo are painted on the back of domed plastic crystals that cover and protect the butterfly wings. The back of the pendant is marked STERLING and it is suspended from a sterling chain that has a spring ring clasp that holds well. The earring screw backs work well and are also marked STERLING. The brilliant blue, lavender, and orange colors of the wings are fresh and bright. Normal patina of vintage silver has been left undisturbed.
