This big, beautiful, double plume brooch dates to the 1960s, but reflects the styling of the earlier Retro Moderne era. The feathers are highly three dimensional, arching into sweeping curves, with voluptous lines. The spines of the feathers are smooth, but the feathers are softly textured for a naturalistic effect. The plating is rich gold-tone Trifanium, of the highest quality ever used by this company. Marked TRIFARI with a crown over the T and a copyright symbol. Safety clasp holds well.
