This vintage hand-carved and hand-painted carving of a housepainter, complete with white overalls, a white ballcap, and a paint roller, is executed in the Scandinavian flat plane style. It is marked DANMARK on its back and bears strong similarity to the famous carvings of workmen executed by the Gunnarssons between 1960 and 1990. This housepainter figure probably dates to the 1980s. One small split in the wood of the painter’s chest.
