This handsome necklace features what appears to be an authentic French coin of the Morlon aluminium type dating to the post-WWII era. The one franc coin shows Marianne in profile and reads REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE. The dark gray coin is captured in a shiny gold-tone frame which partially obscures the back of the coin, including the date. This pendant coin is suspended from a bright gold-tone ball chain. Spring ring clasp holds well. There is one small area of wear through the platng on the back of the pendant, at its exact center.
Framed coin measures 1-1/8 inches in diameter. Chain is 24 inches long.
