This is a beautiful example of the very popular “Brazilian Mask” design by the first Midcentury American copper jewelry master, Frank Rebajes. Although small, it displays outstanding craftsmanship, with carefully cut, curled, and bent copper nose and hair. A band of black patination crosses the face. Safety clasp holds well. This is a piece that looks great worn alone or paired with other large or small pins or brooches.
Measures 1/2 × 1-1/4 inches.
Excellent vintage condition.
