This beautiful handwrought silver brooch displays remarkable craftsmanship. A woman in traditional Peruvian garb is shown with a llama that is carrying a bundle on its back. These figures are cut in silhouette from a sheet of silver and incised with remarkable texture and detail. The delicate and intricate filigree work of the surrounding brooch is exquisitely worked. The simple pin stem and C-clasp are fashioned by hand, as well. The brooch is unmarked but tests as sterling.
