This spectacular necklace was made before 1980 by the reknowned silversmiths of Los Castillo. The sleek, elegant design is entirely Modern and the seamlessly sturdy construction displays the highest level of craftsmanship. It is meant to be worn high on the neck, “dog collar” style. Bands of copper and brass are married to the underlying sterling. The links are gently angled to allow the necklace to lie perfectly. The handcrafted slide clasp holds securely, and is fabricated to blend with the color of the copper stripe. Marked METALES CASTILLO, the eagle mark with 15 inside, and the production number 58. Light patina of vintage silver has been gently cleaned with a soft cloth, but not polished. The new owner could polish to a brighter shine if desired.
Measures 14 inches circumference and 3/8 inch wide. Weighs 3.5 ounces (100 grams).
