Midcentury Behrendt Blown Glass Spire Tree Topper Ornament in Box

$20.00

This red and silver mercury glass tree topper spire is in its original box, which identifies it as being “mouth blown glass” made in Colombia. The red bulb portion is enhanced with two ribbon-shapes of applied gold glitter. The ornament dates to the 1960s to early 1970s. Safely cradled in the box, it has remained in good condition. There is one small area of darkening inside the silvered mercury glass on one side of the spire and minimal wear to the red. The box is missing the clear plastic that originally covered the top window and has been reinforced with clear tape in the past. The original price tag from Giant Value reads 1.39.

Measures 10 inches long.

Very good vintage condition.
