This finely crafted silver brooch was designed and produced by Marcin Zaremski (1951-present), of Poland. It embodies perfectly the strongly sculptural character of his work. After learning the craft of jewelry making from his parents, pioneering Polish Modernist masters Jerzy and Jadwiga Zaremski, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, graduating in 1974. Since that time he has run his own jewelry studio and has owned and operated a gallery in Warsaw since 1989. This beautiful work of art is fully marked - m.zaremski MJZ 925 and with a symbol resembling a stylized eye. Tube style clasp holds well.
Measures 3/4 × 2-1/8 inches and rises 3/8 inch proud. Weighs 0.4 ounce.
