














1956 Walter Lampl "Drunk At Lamp Post" Sterling Charm
This finely crafted charm is filled with action and detail. An intoxicated man wearing a tuxedo with tails and a top hat rotates freely around a lamppost, holding what appears to be a paper bag in his hand. The word VINE can be seen at the top of the lamppost on one side. On another side is HLWD, short for Hollywood. This piece can be seen on page 18 of the 1956 Walter Lampl charm catalog. It was called "Drunk At Lamp Post" and was item number 9344. Although this charm is unsigned, the quality of its construction, its humorous and affectionate content, and its depiction in the catalog all identify this as a Lampl charm.
