This extraordinary artisan-made pendant dates to the early 1970s. At its center is a textured silver ram or goat with curling horns, surrounded by a braided silver frame. This central element is set in a lava-like, freeform, irregularly shaped gold-plated silver Brutalist pendant. Although unmarked, this piece in nonmagnetic and tests positive for sterling by the ice cube test. Because of the gold plating, it cannot be acid tested without damaging the piece. This pendant is suspended from a vintage gold filled flat chain marked 1/20 12K. The spring ring clasp of the chain works well and holds securely. This would be a perfect gift for anyone with an Aries or Capricorn Zodiac sign.
