Created by Art Pepper, these earrings each feature 3 long leaves on curling stems. One of the leaves is textured gold-tone. The others are matte black enamel with shiny gold-tone veining. The leaves rest one upon another, with separate and distinct shapes. They were made during the late 1950s. The design is sharp, crisp, naturalistic, and yet just a little edgy. Clip backs hold well. One earring is marked MODE ART with the copyright symbol. Later jewelry from this company was usually marked simply ART.
