This beautiful bronze statuette stands on a black wooden plinth. It is marked Boras on the front and N.C. on the back and is the work of reknowned 20th century Swedish sculptor Nils Castegren. The figure represents a Boras Knalle - a traditional Swedish market trader from the Boras region. The bronze has a rich, warm patina, with brighter gold tones on his hat and on the edges and high points. This sculpture was produced in 5 sizes. The one being offered here is the second largest.
