This whimsical sterling silver brooch and earrings set, called “Spilling Tea,” depicts a teapot pouring into the cup that dangles beneath. These pieces are balanced to create a dynamic realism along with the fun. From 1984 to 1989, Anne Harvey manufactured her jewelry in Taxco, Mexico in the reknowned TUKA workshop, where these pieces were made. They are perfect examples of Postmodern design, combining fanciful minimalism with elements of Art Deco revival and plumply rounded lines. Marked ANNE HARVEY MEXICO TB-83 925 and with the copyright symbol. Brooch safety clasp holds well. Pierced earrings have their original backs.
Teapot measures 1-1/8 × 1-5/8 inches. With teacup, it dangles 2-1/4 inches. Earrings measure 7/8 inches wide and drop 1-3/4 inches long including teacup.
Excellent vintage condition. Light patina of vintage silver has been left undisturbed.
