These elegant earrings can be dated to the mid 1960s by the patent number on their adjustable clip backs. They reference the Space Age, with oval, silver-tone, orbit-like rings around high quality glass faux pearls. The adjustable clips have screw findings that loosen or tighten the pressure on the earlobe to achieve an ideal of comfort and security. Marked PAT. NO. 3,176,475. This patent was awarded in 1965 to inventor Nazareno Saccoccio. Mr. Saccoccio worked for a company that made these earring components for Napier, as well as other jewelry companies.
