This gorgeous bracelet consists of 10 mother of pearl panels, each individually handpainted with a scene from Persian history, set into silver. The silver purity is not indicated in the mark, but it is signed in Arabic Amal-e-Reza, or “The Work of Reza.” Reza was a prominent master craftsman of the Parvaresh silversmith dynasty in the city of Isfahan. The painting is remarkably detailed, though there is some loss due to age and wear. The bracelet dates to the World War II era. The bracelet is held securely by a slide clasp. The push-button of the clasp is a meticulously crafted flower. It is a remarkable piece of work overall.
Measures 3/4 inch wide and 6-1/2 inches long.
Very good vintage condition, with normal and expected wear to paint. Usual patina of vintage silver has been left undisturbed.
