This very pretty tin box once held chocolate candy. The top is adorned with images of swallowtail butterflies and a romantic classical scene, similar to those seen in Maxfield Parrish paintings. The sides are also decorated with butteflies of various types. There is a flower-shaped metal latch. The inside of the hinged lid gives the name of the copy - Artstyle Chocolates - surrounded by a lovely stenciled cartouche. The bottom of the box is stamped MANUFACTURED BY ARTSTYLE CHOCOLATE COMPANY BOSTON ST. LOUIS U.S.A. This antique tin is in remarkable condition, with minimal fading, few scratches, light wear, and no rust.
