This charming blue bird is perched on a flowering branch, holding a berry in its beak. It is made of pot metal cold-enamel painted in vivid shades of blue, yellow, pink, brown, and green. The wing is paved in brilliant white rhinestones and a small red glass cabochon is at the center of the flower. Safety clasp holds well. Although unmarked, this brooch can be confidently attributed to Coro, as it matches design patent 127909, granted to Adolph Katz for Coro in 1941. The same design was used for the famous “Bill and Coo” Coro Duette.
Measures 1-1/2 × 2 inches.
Excellent vintage condition.
