1930s Chinese Silver Carved Jade & Enamel Butterfly Brooch
This spectacular Chinese export piece features two lovely matching pieces of apple-green carved and pierced jade set in a finely detailed enamel butterfly. The high purity silver is gilded. The larger jade wings are supported and accented by a pair of smaller wings that are enameled in peacock blue, gold, and green. The butterfly’s body is enameled in gold, blue, and green, with red enamel eyes. Marked SILVER MADE IN CHINA. The older-style safety clasp holds well.
